Still Cambodia, still to much Time left

I'm still in Cambodia, and i still got to much Time left here. This Country makes it hard to find nice Places to hang out. I Travelled from North to South, barely seen something good. The History just makes it hard, because everywhere you get confronted with the tragic History of the Country. No matter if you see all the disabled People, the People without Limbs, the People with a eye poked out (which u see a lot) or the People who are so extremely poor that they offer you their Daughter (Child Age) for Sex.

I thought going to the South would make it better, lot of People were talking about Sihanoukville as a nice Town. But i could find only one nice Thing on it, that was the Starfish Café. A Café run only by disabled People, its a bit more expensive than a normal Restaurant but they serve u self baked bread, self baked cakes and a various delicious sandwiches. Part of the Money goes to their Foundation which supports disabled People in Sihanoukville. So i spend the last 2 Days in this Café, chatting with the nice young Lady's who runs it and are very Kind. They told me some story's and already greet me like a Friend, which made it at least a little bit nice to stay here.

One more point: If you ever go to Cambodia and decide to come here, don't ever go to Victory Hill. In the Lonely Planet its described as the nice little former Backpacker Town with a nice little clean Beach. That is not true in no sense of the word. The Town is a big Brothel run by the Tuk Tuk and Prostitution Mafia, full of Old Drug taking and Drinking sick-fucks who probably spend money on child abuse too. The nice little beach is over run by Russians, there is a Disco ON THE BEACH called “Airport Russian Disco”. No more to say. There are Russians hanging out with 4 Cambodian Girls at a Time having some “Fun” there. What a terrible Place.

My advice about Cambodia for you: If you want to visit it, go 3 days to Angkor and leave. Go by Plane. If you got feelings, why ever u would have them, to visit the South, skip sihanoukville and go directly to an Island or to Kampot or Kep.

Cambodia for me is already over in my Head.Tonight i will go back to the Hotel in Siem Reap where i enjoyed my stay a lot, and will settle down there for 8 Days until i finally leave to Laos. I really need some time to unpack my things now and be stuck on one place for a few days, I'm feeling really tired of Traveling at the Moment. So i will get a bit into Cambodian City Life and meet some new People.

For me Cambodia was a experience. If you ask me if it was a good, i cant answer you because I'm not sure. If i had knew this in advance, i would probably have skipped Cambodia completely and spend a more joyful Time in Thailand.

So i will give an Update again when I'm in Laos first i think. From the 24. of March until the 16. of Mai when i come back from Burma i will barely have Internet Connections, so Updates will be more late and i could not Post so much, please be patient about that.

Enjoy your Time.
