Vientiane, Fever, Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang

After last Days on the 4k Islands we made the Way to Vientiane with the Overnight, which was surprisingly comfortable, especially for 2 People. So after a more or less relaxing 12 Hours Transfer we arrived in the Capital at like 6 am. I thought it would just be another dirty Asian Capital, but to my surprise, it was the opposite. Totally different from Bangkok or Phnom Penh, this Place was just nice and clean overall.

The Internet here is very slow and bad so Uploading Pictures takes Ages, but ill do my best to provide the best.

As we only spent one Night in Vientiane i didn't take that much Photos. But it was a very nice City. Next Day we took a 4 Hours Bus Ride to Vang Vieng. Vang Vieng is hard to describe. On the one Side of the River its a nice little Village with great View on the Mountains, on the other Side its a crazy Party place which u would never imagine in that location. Well, same as Don Det i guess. Good thing, we accommodated on the quiet side. Unfortunately i cached a infection in my throat in laid down for 3 Days with at the worst point 39.4 degrees Fever. That is no fun at all in the Tropical Heat. I was really concerned that it would be Malaria, because after 3 Days taking antibiotics without any Effect… So 3rd Day i made the Way to the Hospital, the Doctor looked in my throat, said, “ahhh” and give me Penicillin. Now i feel better, no more Fever, but lost 3 Days. A experience i prefer to have skipped.

However, Vang Vieng.

An Example of what awaits you when you go to a Restaurant on the other Side of the River.

Our Place was a very nice Garden owned by a Australian sounding Guy.

Inside the Big Cave, its hard to Take Focused Photos, cause its pitch black.

This was a Part of Vang Vieng. Very nice Place. Next Morning we made our 8 hour Bus ride to Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang is a very nice not too big City in Northern Laos. Very nice to stay several Days, which we did.

They may be poor, and may have nothing, but i bet money that they are far more happy than our spoiled European kids.

So, enough writing and picturing for me, time to sleep. Tomorrow morning maybe up at 5 to see the Monks collect Food, and rest of the Day Chill.

Read me, from Thailand next Time.
