The Beach

As the Title says… The Beach. We found it! NO TOURISTS! NO ONE ELSE!

but first yesterday.

Yesterday i was going to discover the Island on my own again. Which was very nice because i like it to just stop everywhere i see places i like to visit. So i can move more free and don't have to look for others which is good sometimes.

As said, i discovered the not so crowded Eastside of the Island, first stop i made was at a Temple Place with a beautiful view on a River:

Nice colour, isn't it?

After that i head more southwards, there was a sign on the Road that they are selling houses.. Hm.. lets check that out!

What i found was a empty “village” of brand new houses along the Beach. I felt free to just enter them, so i did.

They sold some pretty decent houses directly on the beach, i could take some rest at a poolside. Look what they are like, for 14 Million Baht its yours.

with your own little piece of Beach (which is a joke in compare with our Beach…) but i could spend some days there!

After some rest i head on south.

Little stop at a very long pier

After like one and a half or two hours of driving the Road stopped. They are just building a ring road around the Island, but its not finished yet, so the last stop was on a little Fisherman Village built into the Mangrove Trees.

My last stop on that day was on the Westside of the Island at a Viewpoint to capture some decent sundown, and i think i did a hell of a job on that one, but decide for your own:

DSC02090DSC02100DSC02104DSC02111

at the end of that day we had a really not so good Indish dish for around 200 Baht, which was totally not worth it, AND! The first two chang beers after 2 weeks of abstinence (yes Helen, 2 WEEKS!). Was great.

Today i decided to go on my own again. So did Frank. At a nice breakfast at our Accommodation i had an idea, ask the nice Hotel staff about a really nice beach without people, they should know something! And they did!

The Husband of the Cook know a place, which is hard to get there because its a long Path through the Jungle (yes, and it was through the fucking jungle indeed!) and there's a BIG beach with nice sand and no People.

This beach supposed to be on the TOP SOUTHERN POINT of the Island, there is no road in the map leading there, its a very hard to find road heading into the Jungle from side road of the Main road. So i decided to take it on me and find that Beach.

This is the great thing about non package travelling, your totally on your own, you can do whatever you feel like, you can spend a night in the jungle if u want and nobody would care, your just free to do whatever u want to do. I love it.

So i made my way after a decent breakfast, and half way to the south, who's standing there at the side of the road? FRANK! He was searching a nice Place to hang out for the Day too, so i tell him about my Plan, he totally agreed and jumped on the Train, so we made our way to the South.

After an hour of driving or so we ended up at a dead end, we gone to far, so we asked a Woman of a restaurant about the way. We turned back and took a very bad road into the jungle, which was the wrong one, we recognized that after 10 minutes driving 90° hills.

Turned back again, asked again, finally got on the right road! Yey! It was a half hour ride through the jungle, we had to ride through some dried out river bets, and made an actually hard way, but then we could see light in the dark! Through the Palms it was shining, the OCEAN! Without a believe that this is the right place we kept driving until we reached the end of the jungle. HELL WHAT A VIEW WAS THAT!

A totally white beach, at least 2 Kilometres long, totally empty, NO PEOPLE! The feeling was just amazing, we was screaming like YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WE DID IT!

But enough of talking I'm going to let some pictures speak. Enjoy.

Totally for us alone. I will cry when i see that photo 5 years later sitting in the office.

But not only that there was i nice beach, this wasn't enough. There was a river in emerald colours going into the land at the end of the beach, which was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, CHECK THAT OUT!

Frank already jumped in he couldn't wait Zwinkerndes Smiley

Soo yes.. We found our THE BEACH. It was the best Thailand has to offer so far. Will be hard to top that. Tomorrow we go there again EARLY, take some Barbeque stuff with us, do a fire, catch some coconuts from the trees and have a decent meal and another day there Smiley

I hope i could serve u some nice Photos, i always try to share the nicest impressions. Its hard to bring over the feeling u have when u actually stand there yourself, but its a bit of a look into that how it is Smiley

I wish u a nice Time and hear you soon, i will enjoy few more Days on Chang (Koh Chang not Beer Chang Helen) and will give an update first from Cambodia i think.

Kop Kun Khrap for reading.

Want to buy a Suiiiiiiiiite Miiister?

Yeah, what the fuck should i do with a Suite on Travels?! Whatever.. When u walk over the Khao San Road at night there's two things happen, 25 People (at least) picking on you and harassing you to buy a fucking suite of them. Very nice looking Suite Mister! ARMANI! ….. The other 20 Guys talking to you doing *Ploppp* Ping Pong show Mister?! (I don't explain that here now).

Really strange place. Somewhere between Oktoberfest and some other Planet. Gladly im out there already. (BUT! The Soi Rambuttri just 2 streets away from Khao San is pretty nice place to stay!)

So why not save some Money again and take a 300 Baht Bus to Koh Chang again. Oh, what, the AC isn't working?

Did u ever do a 7 hours drive when its like 38 degrees outside in a Bus full of People? Well, i can tell u, its not fun.

But hey, i saved at least 450 baht for the VIP bus, so spent that on better Accommodation!

The Accommodation is A W E S O M E! Here's what i got for 600 Baht a Night (14,90€).

A BRAND NEW MOTORBIKE!!!!!

This is just awesome. I directly booked me in for 5 nights. Well, lets see when i come to Cambodia Zwinkerndes Smiley

Koh Chang is quite nice, but the “White Sand Beach” which is the most touristic area on the Island is just simply overcrowded and not nice. Today i was driving around the whole west coast of the Island, which is the touristic side. Tomorrow i will discover the other side and find myself some nice beach to hangout.

Il share a few impressions of the Day with u.

nice Sunset. But i will deliver better one.

DSC02008

some nice accommodation we checked out, but not as nice as ours. A few resorts here are totally empty and giving u discount without asking.

DSC02031DSC02034

very nice place actually, but the second most ridiculous thing i ever seen (most ridiculous was the Japanese travel group in the emerald cave, but that's another story) there's a freaking 7-eleven on that Village –__________--

and the White Sand Beach from Top.

Well as i said tomorrow i will make more Pictures from the other more interesting part of the island. I hope u enjoyed the Photos and have soon warmer weather in Europe.

Hear ya soon

One Night in Bangkok…

…unfortunately. It is how it is. I just dont like that City. Its WAY TO BIG, its dirty, its full of Smog and its so warm and thick aired that u nearly couldnt stand it…When u live in nice aired and clean Munich its hard to be Friend with that City. Good thing is, just one Night for me here.

And where am i? Finally at the famous DSC01949

Crazy Street. Lot of crazy people runnin around there. Thats what it looks like at daytime: DSC01948

Well i just was driving around a bit, recognizing that nearly everyone in Bangkok trys to Scam you. I bought a T shirt, bargained from 250 to 180, which is still a bad deal im sure. Bargained pants from 250 to 200, very bad deal. Its only under 10 Euros for a pant and a shirt, but i probably would have get it for the half too. Well, Bangkok. They bargain every day, i have to get used to it more and be more drastic. (Greetings to Tabea on that Part Zwinkerndes Smiley)

But when i close my eyes there’s still Pictures from the day before yesterday coming up where i was chilling out at my favourite Coffee Place in Pai

DSC01916

Yea.. Pai… *sniff* i miss it already.

Tomorrow Morning i make my Way down to Ko Chang, a Island at the most Southeast part, usually i wanted to go to Cambodia already, to go up to Laos at March 24, but then i recognized that a Month in Cambodia is probably to much, so ill spent 1 or maybe 2 Weeks on Chang and then il settle up to Cambodia over Trat. 2 weeks cambodia should be enough, if i like it i could come back.

So far so good. Lets see where i end up at all. Hear you from the Island. BEACH TIME AGAIN! YEY!
